Kanthas are layers of cloth, hand-stitched together using a traditional straight kantha stitch.

Ananya, a perfectlyimperfectrainbow kantha throwthat took 15days to complete. Made up of 3layers of hand loomed cotton, the middle layer is a stunning recycledcotton saree, visible when held up to the light. Each inner sari is different. A seamless balance of traditionand the present day.

Each kantha throwis finished slightly differently with a freehand cross stitch border in black, red, green, blue and yellow.

Wecommissioned this collection just at the beginning of the lockdown in India. It was our way to ensure we could help artisans during thistrying period. Each throwisentwined with hope and love and by purchasing a Hope throwyou aredirectly supporting the livelihood of artisan’s dependent on traditional skills.
